Dynamic Currency Conversion is the service, resulting from co-operation between Nexi and Global Blue, that allows your Customers who are Visa and Mastercard international credit card holders to make purchases in their own currency, with an exchange rate guaranteed at the time of payment.

If you subscribe to the service, you can generate additional earnings, as an incentive for promoting the service itself and guaranteeing your foreign Customers certainty of the purchase amount in their own currency. You will be remunerated for purchases made in currency as a percentage of the transactions executed, without having to pay additional commissions and the amount of the transaction will be credited to you in euros.

Activating the service is easy: for Merchants with retail stores, all that is needed is a POS terminal configured for managing currency exchange tables and credit card codes. For Merchants selling online or remotely, the service usesXPay, our payment gateway.

In addition, the DelayedCharge service protects you in the event guests forget to declare a charge (for example, minibar use) before leaving the hotel.

Car Rentals

If you are an affiliated Merchant, thanks to our services for car rentals, you can offer your Customers the option of paying any car hire using VISA, Mastercard or JCB Cards, in addition to obtaining a series of useful advantages.
You can manage payments at the time of vehicle pick-up or return and protect yourself in the event Customers have been served a payment order for non-payment of motorway tolls or traffic fines during the period of the car hire or in the case they have failed to report damage to the vehicle (DelayedCharge*).

For managing this service properly, it is important to follow a few rules:

  • The amount of the authorisation is required to be based only on the car rental period, the rate applied, mileage and any taxes.
  • You are not allowed to include amounts regarding any possible damage caused to the vehicle in the authorised amount on the car being picked up or other amounts that are not included in the rental cost.
  • Prepaid cards and/or debit cards may not be accepted or used for applying for pre-authorisations. In these cases, the car rental is required to be paid at the end of the rental, in accordance with traditional methods.

* In the case of contracts executed using Mastercard and JCB, the DelayedCharge for the vehicle may not be applied. In these cases, the amount of the damage is required to be calculated in the presence of the cardholder who is required to sign it and pay it immediately.
